So...What Do You Want To Look Like Anyway? |
Proper maintenance of a property is a vital part of any landscape design. You can pour as much money as you want into a landscape design, and pay top dollar for the best materials and construction, but if your landscape beds are full of weeds, the bark-mulch is old and faded, the grass is patchy and dull-green, and the shrubs look as if they have not been pruned since the last millenium, then you’re hurting your most valuable asset... your home. |

When You Look Good You Feel Good. |
Nothing says, “I don’t care” more than an unkempt home or business. I am sure you have driven by businesses and homes that look like they have not seen the sharp edge of a lawn mower in a while and maybe you made a sarcastic comment like, “wow, looks great”. These places don’t look inviting at all! In fact you’d probably avoid doing business with a restaurant that has knee-high weeds along the windows, and would you let your daughter date a boy that lived in a home like that? I think not! Now, this may be an extreme comparison and maybe a little ‘tounge in cheek’, but the message is consistent and pretty clear. So ask yourself; what do you want to look like anyway. In contrast, a professionally cared for landscape design brings a lush lawn, weeded landscape beds, and pruned shrubs. The clean and neat appearance communicates a respect the owner has for themselves, the neighborhood, and their greatest investment. How Does One Get A Great Looking Property? First, if you have lots of time and some heavy-duty equipment, you can do it yourself. However, if you lack the time that is often elusive these days, then you need to turn to a professional service provided by a professional company like Black Creek Landscaping LLC. We offer maintenance contracts encompassing all sorts of services to exceed your expectations and deliver what you want...someone else doing the work. How Will You Take Care Of It? You will schedule a meeting with us and we will consult with you and discuss your outdoor maintenance needs. Our maintenance contracts provide a full circle of services. There is no fee for the initial visit to assess services needed. Starting off the season in the early spring, we provide a spring clean-up. In this service we repair snow-plow damage to the turf areas, clean up left over perennials from the previous fall as well as remove leaves from the landscape beds that may have blown in over the winter. In the spring-time we prepare the landscape beds for an application of fresh bark-mulch. In addition to adding aesthetics to the landscape, it also keeps moisture in, weeds out and erosion at a minimum. Crabgrass control is applied in April so you won’t have that insidious annual weed to look at all summer long. To keep turf roots healthy and vigorous, we also perform a core aeration of the soil. This is accomplished via a machine that punches thousands of holes in the turf and allows oxygen to once again access the root zone that may have suffered from compaction which can result in poor growth and color of the grass due to stress from a lack of oxygen. Much of this is related to the soil type on your property. Proper pruning is one of the most important and visually noticeable services that can be performed on a property. A vigorous pruning is performed in June and a second pruning is usually necessary on some shrubs again in August. Small trees under 15’ are also pruned to maintain shape and proper health. Fertilizer is applied 4-times throughout the season. The percentages of nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium change from spring to summer and early fall to late fall according to the growth cycle to maintain peak performance and health of the turf grass. Proper weed control is vital to a clean appearance. Both chemical and manual weed removal is used. Weed Spray is applied in open areas and hand weeding is necessary in areas close around plants. Flower beds are maintained by applying a chemical ‘weed barrier’ during planting. This barrier is really effective to keep weeds down. We also offer annual flower bed planting and preparation. We prepare the flower beds and amend them with a rich organic material that really boosts growth and vigor. Naturally, the ‘weed barrier’ is applied and thus keeps weeds down. Fall Cleanup is done, well in the fall, naturally. Perennials are cut down, leaves removed, and annual flowers are removed from the flower beds. Last, but certainly not least, is the mowing services we offer. We mow lawns on a 5 day and a 7 day schedule. Mowing begins in mid-April and continues right through mid-November. Five-day rotation mowing picks up in late May when the heavy growth of turf grass occurs and continues until mid-September. Trimming around the mailbox and posts is done as well as blowing off all hard surfaces. Edging of walks and driveways is done on a bi-weekly basis to maintain a clean edge and look of the property. |
